Bacteria have been shown to be quite beneficial in septic and drain care. Bacteria work best as a means of maintenance. Most plugged drains result from the accumulation of organic material along the sides of the line. Regular use of bacteria will digest this organic waste and prevent the buildup. Bacteria are also beneficial in septic tanks for reducing solids in much the same way it is used in wastewater treatment.
